Dr PAUL EMLYN JESSEN (Founding Director - seated left)

I founded the New Exodus Singers in 1997, firstly by request of the Rector of Trinity Memorial Church, Fr Anthony Jemmott, upon the occasion of the visit of the Archbishop of the West Indies. The choir continued to sing monthly evensongs at Trinity and other churches, as well as singing for weddings, funerals and various concerts of religious, gospel, classical and popular music. By the time I left Montreal in 2000 I had established a thriving choir with a healthy management committee to continue the administration of the choir and choose a new director. I am always grateful to the members for their enthusiasm and hard work which made for an enjoyable few years working with this group. Jean Degia was an able treasurer and indefatigable co-worker.
