St Matthew's possess several pianos in its different spaces. In the sanctuary there is a baby grand piano and Dr Jessen's personal concert grand piano by Blüthner. This latter instrument was made in 1929 and was owned by the New Zealand Broadcasting Corporation in Dunedin, and then by a Wellington piano teacher, who donated it to Wellington High School where Dr Jessen found it in 1985. It was completely restored in New Zealand before being shipped to Canada in 1998. The tone of the Blüthner is very melifluous and is well suited to Romantic music. It is available for rental for concerts in the church.
In the parlour there is a Heintzman grand piano.
